State Senator Mark Baisley Wins Republican Nomination for United States Senate

PUEBLO, Colo. – On Saturday, April 11, 2026, State Senator Mark Baisley secured the Republican nomination for the United States Senate at the Colorado GOP Assembly in Pueblo. His Democratic opponent will be determined in the June primary election.

State Senator Baisley has built a reputation as a principled and consistent defender of the Constitution. Known for his willingness to stand firm – even when casting the lone “no” vote – Baisley is widely respected as a leader unafraid to “say the quiet part out loud”. Throughout his service in both the State House and State Senate, he has remained focused on advancing policies that create jobs, reduce regulatory burdens, and expand opportunity for all Coloradans.

Baisley’s campaign emphasized a strong statewide ground game, prioritizing direct voter engagement and meaningful conversations from the Western Slope to the Eastern Plains.

That strategy proved successful, as he emerged as the only candidate to surpass the 30 percent threshold required to advance.

He appreciates each of the candidates who stepped into the arena with him and looks forward to working with them as his campaign moves ahead.

“Moving toward November, I will continue to lead on the mission laid out in the Declaration of Independence – those founding principles that make this nation exceptional,” said Baisley. “I am grateful to my wife, my family, our staff, volunteers, and every delegate who placed their trust in me. Now, let’s get to work.”
