5-12-26 Senator Mark Baisley Defends Second Amendment Rights Following DOJ Lawsuit

US Senate Republican Nominee Mark Baisley commends the Department of Justice for stepping in to challenge Colorado’s recently passed unconstitutional magazine ban. The lawsuit marks an important step toward restoring and protecting Second Amendment rights for law-abiding citizens across Colorado.

“For too long, Democrats have treated gun ownership as a privilege that requires their permission. Limiting access to firearms for sportsmen, enthusiasts, and citizens who are prepared to exercise their constitutional rights responsibly does nothing to stop criminals. Instead, it infringes on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans while creating the false impression that lawmakers are improving public safety. I appreciate the federal government stepping in on behalf of Colorado citizens.”

As part of his campaign for the U.S. Senate, Senator Baisley has pledged to support federal concealed carry reciprocity legislation, reinforcing his belief that state and federal lawmakers should uphold – not undermine – the constitutional rights guaranteed to every American.

“Threats do not end at state lines and neither should your right to carry.”
